Meet Dr. Malueg

Doctor posing outisde Dr. Leslie Malueg is an experienced endodontist with over 30 years of clinical expertise and academic contributions. She began her dental career in 1981 as a dental hygienist in Lexington Kentucky. She soon found dentistry to be her passion and attended dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry to receive her DMD degree. She practiced general dentistry for 4 years and was always intrigued by the specialty of endodontics. Dr. Malueg was accepted and completed her endodontic residency program at the University of Iowa in 1995.

Since then , Dr. Malueg has been involved in endodontics in both clinical and academic settings. She is dedicated to advancing endodontics through clinical practice, teaching, mentorship, and active participation in national and state dental organizations.

When she is not practicing endodontics, Dr. Malueg can be found traveling around the country to visit her family, perfecting her sourdough bread, hiking in the NC mountains, and loving on her golden doodle, Rosie.

Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art, small volume cone-beam CT (computed tomography) technology that provides highly accurate, 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning, and treatment of endodontic disease. This allows three-dimensional visualization of teeth, bone, sinuses, and surrounding structures with minimal radiation to the patient, enabling a level of anatomical accuracy and patient care not possible with 2-D technologies (regular dental x-rays). With the addition of cone-beam CT technology to our office, our practice is committed to providing innovative, high-quality, patient care. Malueg Endodontics carefully chooses which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow.
